Selank is a synthetic peptide derived from the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin and has been investigated primarily for its effects on neurobiology, stress-related signaling, and immune regulation.

Research has examined its influence on neurotransmitter systems, expression of neurotrophic factors, inflammatory mediators, and mechanisms involved in the brain’s response to stress.

Preclinical studies suggest that Selank may interact with GABAergic signaling and influence pathways associated with anxiety-like behavior, cognitive function, and neuroplasticity.

Additional research has explored its immunomodulatory properties, including effects on cytokine regulation and the interaction between the nervous and immune systems.
